Job Responsibilities:

Direct clinical supervision of support staff (RN, LPN, and MA) in their clinical duties including scheduling, PTO, Sage, and performance evaluations.

Communicate with other site supervisors, staff, front office staff and providers to ensure smooth patient flow through the office and quality customer service which includes checking schedules and organizing patient flow.

Attends and contributes to Biweekly Site Supervisor Meetings.

Patient care responsibilities as assigned which may include: assisting patients as needed with walking, transfers, dressing, preparing for exam, collecting patient history; performing screenings per provider guidelines; assisting providers/nurses with various procedures and charting.

Assists physicians with examination, diagnostic procedures and treatments. Performs wound care, dressing changes, suture and staple removal and casting, as required.

Write prescriptions per request of physician but must be reviewed and signed by provider after they are done. Prescriptions are e-scribed to pharmacies per physician orders.

Dispenses DME as requested by provider and properly documents all such supplies in the EHR at the time given to patient.

Documents all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication prescribed in the medical record.

Assists in preparing patients for surgery by preparing pre-op paperwork to include making sure x-rays are correct, signatures, labs and medical clearances have been obtained and anything else the physician may need.

Ensure prior authorization is obtained for any medications

Promotes wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advise/instructions.

Triage: Identifies, analyzes, and resolves patient problems.

Speaks directly to patients to assess what is needed, level of urgency and manages call to an appropriate conclusion. All calls are read prior to departure at the end of the day. Calls assessed as urgent are reviewed immediately and non-urgent calls in a timely manner. Ensures appointment preferences are given to patients in emergency situations.

Review of outside lab and diagnostic studies, notify provider of any critical results.

Ensures exam rooms are adequately stocked and cleaned at completion of each session.

Inventories and monitors level of supplies, places orders appropriately.

Ensures instruments are cleaned, wrapped, autoclaved and properly cared for on a daily basis.

Adheres to infection control/safety guidelines.

Maintains patient confidentiality.

Follows SOS policies and procedures.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Pay Range: $75,000 and up experience dependent
