Patient Representative Per Diem - SOS PLUS Dewitt Reception

This job is for the SOS PLUS Dewitt Reception

Work Week: Saturday's and Sunday's 9:00am to 1:00pm 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Pleasantly greets and schedules patient’s appointments within SOS. Work includes accurately inputting & updating patient demographic and insurance information in a timely manner, answering phones, scanning, and checking out patients, and some secretarial duties.

  • Exhibits excellent customer service skills in person and over the phone and is a team player.

  • Presents proper paperwork to patients upon their arrival at SOSPLUS.

  • Consistently asks appropriate questions of new patients for SOSPLUS scheduling and follows rules pertaining to follow up appts.

  • Will demonstrate thorough knowledge of our insurance policies to properly inform patients of “par" status and referral requirements, following our protocols for use of waiver forms and payments through the Phreesia platform.

  • Being detail oriented ensures the information that is attached to the appointment is updated. Informs patient of requirements for their appointment (referral, insurance cards, etc.).

  • Will have a thorough knowledge of our practice management system and how it is utilized when dealing with registrations, appointment scheduling, referrals, etc.

  • Documents accurate, thorough task messages according to protocol.

  • Professional communicator verbally with providers, staff and management and in written format.
