We have a full-time openings at our Orthopedic & Sports Therapy offices around Central New York for a patient representative. This position welcomes patients to the practice both in person upon checking in as well as over the phone booking appointments.
A SOS patient representative is responsible for checking in and checking out patients, as well as booking and making changes to appointments.
Patient representatives verify patient demographic information and collect insurance data. They also identify and/or create appropriate accounts, as well as the collection of indicated co-payments and/or share of cost.
Job Qualifications:
As we take care of our patients, we are looking for someone with a pleasant telephone voice, good people skills, has ability to read and communicate well, an attention to detail and the ability to handle a busy day while maintaining a calm disposition.
Preferred skills include:
- Prior desk, appointment, or secretarial experience
- Typing an computer skills
- Medical terminology and insurance experience
Knowledge of and experience using an electronic medical records system, including Medent, is a plus but not required.
