SOS PLUS is a walk-in clinic for urgent orthopedic injuries. SOS PLUS treats patients with acute* orthopedic conditions, meaning symptoms have presented over a short duration and are very painful requiring immediate attention.
SOS PLUS walk-in is an orthopedic service available in Dewitt, NY for new injuries or an increase in symptoms for an existing injury or condition.
If you present to our walk-in clinic and your condition falls outside of the types of conditions seen, you will be assisted to make a timely appointment with a SOS specialist. Please know that SOS PLUS may reach a patient capacity earlier than our set hours. Our goal is to treat acute conditions however due to timing of when a patient presents, they may need to be scheduled with an appointment.
*SOS PLUS treats medical conditions that need prompt attention, but are not life threatening. Extreme orthopedic injuries, such as open fractures, deep lacerations, head trauma, excessive bleeding, chest or rib pain, or conditions coupled with life-threatening symptoms, are more effectively treated at a hospital.
SOS PLUS treats medical conditions that need prompt attention, but are not life-threatening.
Devoted exclusively to the treatment of non-emergency, orthopedic injuries, such as closed fractures, sprains, sports injuries or recently painful, swollen joints, it is staffed by certified physician assistants and nurse practitioners who specialize in orthopedic injuries and work with SOS board certified physicians who are available for necessary consultations.
