Amy Grover, MS, ATC, has been a practicing athletic trainer since 2007. Amy received her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training/Exercise Science from Ithaca College in 2007 and Master of Science in Athletic Training from A.T. Still University in 2009. While at ATSU, Amy studied Evidence-Based Medicine and focused her research on Patient-Based Outcome Measures. Following graduation, Amy co-published her research in the Journal of Athletic Training (Snyder AR, Jennings AL, Parsons JT, Vela LI. Benefits and Barriers to Using Patient-Rated Outcome Measures in Athletic Training. J Athl. Train. 2014;49(5):674-683) as well as a Critically Appraised Topic in the Journal of Sport Rehabilitation (Chaffee A, Yakuboff M, Tanaba T. Responsiveness of the VAS and McGill Pain Questionnaire in Measuring Changes in Musculoskeletal Pain J Sport Rehabil.2011;20(2):250-255). Amy started her career as a graduate assistant at a small Prep Academy in Tempe, AZ, followed by two years at a large high school in Phoenix, AZ. In 2011, Amy returned to Central NY and had short stint at biotechnology start-up company in Binghamton, NY before landing the Director of Athletic Training position with Fitness Forum Physical Therapy in Syracuse in 2012. In 2014, Fitness Forum was acquired by SOS, where Amy is now the Sports Medicine Coordinator and employee Wellness Program Coordinator.
Amy is married to her husband Tom and has one son, Cadyn. Their favorite activities include playing board games, baking/cooking and camping. Amy enjoys spending her “downtime” reading, gardening, and cooking
